Online Point & Insurance Reduction Guide

You might be surprised to know that may be able to receive a minimum 10% discount on your automobile insurance just by taking an online approved point & insurance reduction class, traffic school course, or defensive driving class.  Each class must meet strict standards in order to qualify for the insurance reduction.  However, once you complete an approved point & insurance reduction class:

  1. It will help familiarize you with the current traffic safety laws;
  2. You may be eligible to receive a reduction of as many as two (2) to four (4) points on your driving record;
  3. You will receive a minimum 10% reduction in the base rate of your automobile and/or motorcycle insurance premiums each year for three (3) years.
This can be applied to each vehicle in your household, provided the principle operator of the vehicle takes the course.  This can amount to $100’s of dollars in savings.

Point Reduction

When you get a traffic ticket or other violation while driving, you will almost certainly get points on your license.  Enter point reduction classes.  A point reduction class enables you to potentially reduce as many as two to four points on your driving record.  However, point reduction applies only to points assessed to your license that occur during the 18 months prior to the completion of a point reduction course, and cannot be used as a precaution against points that you may obtain on your license in the future.  A point reduction class is very important because if you accumulate too many points on your license, you may run the risk of excessive fines or losing your license altogether.  After successful completion of a point reduction class, the point reduction course should notify the DMV within ten weeks after you complete the course that you in fact successfully completed the course, and thereafter should automatically reduce the number of active total points you have on your license.

Insurance Reduction

If you own a car, you have auto insurance – unfortunately, it’s a necessary evil.  However, you probably aren’t even aware (your insurance company certainly isn’t going to tell you) that you can reduce your car insurance by up to 10% for three years simply by taking an online insurance reduction class.  An insurance reduction class will reduce the base rate of your current liability, no-fault, and collision premiums.  Considering the average person pays approximately $2,000 per year for auto insurance, this is a really great savings.
