New Jersey Auto Clubs Frequently Asked Questions

Car clubs—they’re everywhere.  Clubs for hot rods, antiques, exotics….clubs for Corvettes and Shelby’s…and modified Asian imports made for road racing.  Whatever kind of car you drive (or hope to drive someday), there’s a car club out there for you.

There are so many car clubs to choose from, it’s hard to know where to start.  To make things simple for you; however, we’ve identified a website that just might help you find the club you’re looking for in New Jersey.  If you find the club you want in New Jersey, perhaps you’ll get the chance to meet others who share your passion for the car of your dreams.

Carclubs.com lists car clubs by car make as well as by state.  So if you want to find others who share your passion for that classic Fiat in the mustard yellow, have at it.  If you’re searching for others with the Fiat who happen to live in New Jersey, you’re in luck!

If you’re feeling more adventurous, and willing to scan through an eclectic list of car clubs and associations….Car Stuff has done a good job of compiling an interesting (if not somewhat random) list for your browsing pleasure.

Here are a few of our favorites at GoDMV:

The Tucker Car Club

This club features the automobile designed by Preston Tucker that, while considered ahead of its time in design and features, faced a tough auto industry and ultimate commercial failure.  The very cool (and well-designed!) site includes photos, history and interest facts about the Tucker.

Sports Car Club of America

This club is for people who like cars that go fast.  Very fast.  We’re not talking about the new Mazda your neighbor bought – you know the one who’s been challenging you to a “drag race” down the block.  Sports Car Club of America is dedicated to motorsports cars.  Race cars!  Check out the club’s website and go vroom!

Muscle Car Club – Worldwide Muscle Car Registry

This site is totally dedicated to the muscle car.  If you are into muscle car preservation or restoration, or just appreciate the fun muscle cars brought to the auto world, this club’s for you.  The site not only provides the “fun stuff” (although it has plenty of that); it offers lots of practical information for those of you interested in acquiring and maintaining your own muscle car.

Antique Automobile Club of America

This club broadly covers all sorts of vehicles (sedans, sports cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc.) that can be considered antique.  The club holds meets and events (both competitive and noncompetitive) around the country.  They claim members in all 50 states and in 50 countries around the world, with 400 regions and chapters.  Put simply, if you are an antique car fan, you can’t afford to overlook this club.

The Classic Car Club of America

Covers cars manufactured between 1925-1948.  Oldies, but goodies.  Enjoy this club’s presence on the web.
