First time driving schools are traffic schools that are required for new drivers in order to obtain a restricted drivers license. The general requirements of a first-time driver course generally contain the responsibility of driving safely, basic defensive driving techniques, traffic signs, signals and roadway markings, and safe driving practices, as well as drug and alcohol education and awareness. First-time driver schools are usually 4 hours long, and are often required in most states.
